BlackBook Mobile is a mobile social network that brings mobile users together in personal and community settings. We provide valuable services for locating lost mobile numbers of friends or colleagues and the ability to make new contacts. Mobile contacts and data are backed up and are securely stored on a remote server. Mobile number requests are made by requesting a number via SMS of a person that is in the network of someone you are personally connected to. The invitation method is based on one degree of separation from each member. This allows each individual user the ability to approve, block or deny incoming requests to share contact information. All requests announce the person desiring a contact and the person they know in common. When the sharing of contact information is approved the contact information is added to each person's contact list on the server and then added to the mobile address book when the mobile is synced next with the server. A second option for requesting contact announces the person wishing contact, the contact in common and a request to be called via SMS.
Privacy is of the utmost importance in all products and services offered by BlackBook Mobile. We allow each member the ability to make their profile always private, private in another member's BlackBook as well as the ability to make any selected contact in the user's contact list to be private. BlackBook Mobile offers the ability to create communities which bring a blended social networking aspect to the end user experience. As a member of a community messaging is sent to each member. Each member has settings for each community and can select what advertising they would like to receive in addition to how they would like to receive communication. Community advertising can be received by SMS, email or the option to receive no communication of any kind. Membership on any level is available globally via the mobile or internet.
This service is requested by a member, any monthly fee will be charged to the member's mobile bill. The terms and conditions of each subscription will be displayed online. The cost for this service is Standard Rate (the service is no charge, however the standard rate for text messages as charged by the carrier would apply), $4.99 or $9.99 depending on the subscription and/or the amount of texts a subscriber wishes to receive.
This service allows a network or community to send content via MMS to it's members. This service has four options for pricing; Standard Rate (the service is no charge, however the standard rate for text messages as charged by the carrier would apply), $0.99, $1.99, $4.99, $6.99 or $9.99 (pricing may vary by the amount of content provided and price points supported by your carrier). If a fee is selected by the moderator for the service, the fee is billed directly to the subscriber using premium SMS.
This section has three pricing options that are selected by the network or community moderator; Standard Rate (the service is no charge, however the standard rate for text messages as charged by the carrier would apply), $0.99, $1.99, and $4.99 (pricing may vary by the amount of content provided and price points supported by your carrier). SMS Trivia - This service allows a community moderator to send SMS trivia to community members.
Txt-2-Win - When using this service the moderator defines the prize that will be won and the ratio of winners. The ratios of winning selections are 1:1, 1:100, 1:1,000, 1:10,000 and 1:1,000,000. The contest is submitted to the subscribers with information about any fee that could be charged for the contest. Fee options are $0.99 and $1.99 (pricing may vary by the amount of content provided and price points supported by your carrier). If the subscriber chooses to participate, agrees to the terms and any pricing they text AGREE and receive the content for the text-2-win campaign and then respond accordingly. This service will only be applicable in states and areas that legally support this type of campaign.
